RX111 RPB: a new class of micro-controller evaluation board with integrated MCU current measurement function
1 min read
The RX111 RPB is a new low cost evaluation board for the RX100 family of low cost, extremely low power 32-bit Micro-controllers from Renesas. The RX111 RPB comes with all the software and hardware required to use the RX111 Micro-controller including free of charge compiler, application generator, USB drivers, software examples and GUI for power measurement circuit which can measure the power consumption of the micro-controller in the various low power operating modes while running code.
The RPB comes with a wide range of free software tools including a Integrated development environment, C compiler , and graphical code generator along with a range of demo applications. Hardware features include a MCU current measurement circuit, USB Host/Function connectivity and energy harvesting support.
The new RX111 micro-controller is the first of the new generation of Ultra Low Power micro-controllers in the new RX100 family from Renesas. These devices offer unbeatable levels of 32 bit performance combined with extreme low power operation, offers current consumption of 110 µA / MHz and a stand-by mode value of 350 nA. The Rx111 combines this level of performance with a wide range of peripherals including motor control timers, 12-bit ADC and a USB interface supporting host, peripheral and OTG, all in packages as small as 4 x 4 mm.
