Alan Anderson Manufacturing increases headcount by over 50% in response to market delight at new business model
Two year-old company offers ultimate PCBA delivery flexibility
Alan Anderson Manufacturing Ltd (AAM), the UK’s newest full-capability PCBA and Value-Add CEM, continues to expand with the hiring of another seven manufacturing operatives. This is an increase of over 50% in the past year and means that the two-year-old company currently has a full complement of 62 skilled personnel, reflecting on the growth the company is experiencing. There is a huge energy at newly-expanded 20,000 sq ft facility in Hemel Hempstead. Operations Manager Paul Taylor, who started at Easter, comments: “I joined Alan Anderson because of the company’s desire to create a centre of manufacturing excellence.” Newly-appointed quality manager, Danuta, who has 15 years experience at both CEM and OEM manufacturers puts it even more simply: “We are striving to be the very best we can be.”
Michael Knight, Sales Director at AA Manufacturing adds: “We are a winning team with a ‘can do’ attitude. Our operatives are IPC-610 trained, and emphasizing our commitment to continuous improvement, from September we will have our own on-site IPC-610 trainer. This will ensure quality is in our DNA.”
Complementing all-new assembly and test equipment, AAM is upgrading its computer systems to Business Central. This will effectively double the company’s present capacity. And AAM’s promise to install a new pick and place line every time it hits 65% capacity, allows the company to scale up dramatically.
Uniquely, AAM offers to hold buffer stocks of completed PCBAs in advance of scheduled customers’ requirements. This has been a major benefit to customers as it means that AAM can deliver literally within 48 hours of a request, enabling customers to react immediately to volatile markets.
