Needles in an honours haystack
Searching through the Queen's Birthday Honours list for recognition of electronics achievement is similar to the proverbial task of looking for a needle in a haystack.
The highest profile relevant name is that of Dick Olver, chairman of BAE Systems, who received a knighthood, but that was much more for business than it was for electronics. However, a bit more diligence showed two notable names.
So, congratulations to Tudor Brown, until recently, president of ARM Holdings, and to Craig Clark, ceo of Clyde Space, who were both appointed MBEs.
