New Electronics announces embedded world zone

The embedded world Exhibition & Conference is the world´s biggest exhibition of its kind for the international embedded community. Taking place from 1 to 3 March, this year could be the biggest yet, with a record 790 companies from all over the world showcasing their latest products and services.
According to the organisers, the focus this year is on efforts to cut energy consumption with increased system power, as well as innovations in communication technology such as M2M communication and cloud computing.
Major topics of the conference have recently been announced, which include ARM Cortex architecture, multicore, networking, security, libraries and Open Source. Professor Dr. Yrjö Neuvo of Helsinki University of Technology, former executive vice president and cto at Nokia, will be outlining the challenges confronting developers of future embedded systems in his keynote lecture on the 1 March. In addition, Prof Dr. Karlheinz Blankenbach of Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences, the chairman of the conference committee, will be hosting a keynote on the latest advances in electronic displays.
