New use for scopes
Bored test and measurement experts have managed to find an alternate and entertaining use for oscilloscopes.
The scope was connected to a pc soundcard (in X / Y mode – with the right channel connected to the X and the left connected to the Y input) and the effects on the 'Youscope' are spectacular.
According to the designer, the reason the effects look so unusual is that most soundcards have a low pass filter at about half of the sample rate.
