Embedded Instrumentation & On Chip Debugging
1 min read
University of Hertfordshire, Room LD454, College Lane, Hatfield, Hertfordshire, AL10 9AB 21 May 2009. Registration 2:30pm.
As on chip technology becomes ever more complex and devices crowd together on densely packed highspeed boards, the usefulness of traditional instruments such as oscilloscopes, logic analysers and emulators is decreasing.
Instead, technologies such as JTAG and its derivatives allow us to 'see inside' complex assemblies and devices where mechanical probing is enormously difficult and expensive, if not utterly impossible. These technologies have evolved from being a mere production test aid to an essential tool in monitoring, debugging, testing and reprogramming all manner of complex on chip features, including software debug across multiple cores. They have also crossed into the analogue domain.
A range of speakers from companies at the cutting edge of technology will tackle this challenge. Attendees can listen and network with these speakers and like minded colleagues from across the industry.
