Avnet Memec will be holding a hands-on HMI applications engineering workshop in partnership with Renesas.
The event will focus on the latest microcontroller and display technologies and will be supported by industry experts.
The microcontroller workshop offers a full hands-on technology experience supported by specialists from Renesas. The Renesas RX600, 32-Bit high-speed/ high-performance CPU product family will be the MCU of choice for this practical section and will be followed with a short seminar on good C programming practice provided by IAR.
The displays technology section of the day will be provided by Avnet Embedded's technology experts who have an in-depth knowledge of the industry and its trends. The displays workshop will encompass the main touch technologies including analogue resistive, surface acoustic wave, and infrared. There will also be a discussion on the projected capacitive techniques employed in the latest Smartphone's and tablets, and Optical Bonding, a passive enhancement method to improve sunlight readability without increasing heat and power output.
The one-day workshop will run from 9.00am until 4.00pm and each attendee will receive a free Starter Kit (RX62N) to continue their investigations after the event. A buffet lunch and refreshments will also be provided. Pre-loaded laptops will be available on the day for training purposes. There will be limited spaces available so early registration is highly recommend to avoid disappointment.
