1 min read
NMI, the UK industry association for electronic systems, microelectronics and semiconductors, is hosting its annual manufacturing conference on 1 October at the University of Warwick.
The aim of the conference is to showcase excellence in UK manufacturing and give attendees the chance to get expert insight from industry thought leaders.
In recent years, the NMI has championed the concepts of lean manufacturing with its members in response to global competition via a number of practical initiatives.
Under the heading 'seeing is believing', best practice activities include site assessments, benchmarking, continuous improvement and staff development workshops.
This year's keynote will be delivered by Jason Speedy, head of manufacturing for Siemens.
Speedy will detail the journey towards manufacturing excellence, highlighting the key ingredients which have contributed to the company's success, including the role of leadership and staff development. More speakers will be announced in the run up to the event.
Places at the conference are limited and interested parties are therefore encouraged to register early to avoid disappointment.
