10A power modules comply with CISPR 22 standard
National Semiconductor has introduced 12 new Simple Switcher power modules to its existing LMZ23605 range. Able to drive up to 10A of output current, the devices comply with the CISPR 22 (Class B) radiated and conducted electromagnetic interference standard (EMI).
According to the power management specialist, the modules include new features for current sharing and frequency synchronisation. For high current intermediate rail and fpga applications, multiple Simple Switcher modules can be placed in parallel to achieve output currents up to 60A.
A synchronisation pin is implemented to enable the devices to operate at the same frequency, controlling switching noise in sensitive systems. With an integrated shielded inductor, the modules are able to operate at an ambient temperature of 70°C with zero air flow.
