Power modules offer highest efficiency in smallest package
Texas Instruments has added three new power management modules to its Simple Switcher family.
The 10A LMZ31710, 7A LMZ31707 and 4A LMZ31704 are optimised to drive power dense applications in a range of sectors, including industrial, communications infrastructure, medical and test and measurement.
TI says they provide the industry's highest power efficiency in the smallest package (up to 50% smaller than competing solutions).
The power modules incorporate a dc/dc converter with power mosfets, a shielded inductor and passives.
Each device is pin to pin compatible and features precision enable and soft start pins, as well as current sharing, for easy scalability from 4 to 60A.
