25PPM frequency stability costs same as 50 or 100PPM

The specialist in MEMs based silicon timing solutions said the SiT8003 and SiT8103 programmable oscillators can 'dramatically improve' system performance and reliability. The frequency stability specification is available over both commercial and industrial temperature ranges. Piyush Sevalia, vice president of marketing at SiTime, said: "In the past few decades, quartz oscillator suppliers have failed to provide cost effective, 25PPM devices. With the 25PPM SiT8003 and SiT8103, SiTime is setting a new benchmark in price performance. Many of our customers have already standardized on 25PPM devices across all their designs and divisions, and simplified their inventory management by eliminating multiple suppliers and part numbers. By using programmable silicon to offer compelling new features, SiTime continues to transform the timing marketplace." The devices are available in high volume production today.
