Amantys secures $8m funding to expand into new markets
Amantys has announced the successful closure of a new funding round of $8million led by Moonray Investors, to help it build on its Power Drive product family and expand into new markets.
Earlier this year the company extended the capability of its Power Drive igbt module gate driver products with Amantys Power Insight, a hardware and software platform that provides real time monitoring and control of the power switch.
"With this new financing, we will be expanding the product range, but most of all, we're taking the products to market," Amantys' marketing director Richard Ord told New Electronics. "This allows us commercial exploitation; building sales channels and sales partnerships, and representation around the globe."
Ord added that the company is looking to extend its presence beyond Europe and appoint distributors and representatives in China and potentially Japan, which it views as key growth markets in the power industry.
