ARC buys multimedia specialist

Alarity specialises in codec software, firmware, and advanced multimedia architectures and the acquisition will enhance ARC’s product development efforts and customer specific engineering capabilities. According to ARC. Alarity’s technologies are ‘essential’ to the creation of complete next generation systems for HD DVD, BluRay DVD, iPTV and HDTV broadcast standards.
