Atomthreads now supports STM8 cpu architecture

Atomthreads, the free real time operating system for embedded systems, now supports the STM8 cpu architecture.

Although Atomthreads announced support for the STM8 architecture in February, version 1.1 rolls this support into an official release which can be used on any STM8 platform. The port has been qualified on the STM8S Discovery development board, with the Cosmic compiler used as the supporting toolchain. Meanwhile, the AVR architecture port has been boosted with support for recently announced ATmega devices, which offer 128Kbyte of program space. Intended for embedded systems developers who require a simple lightweight scheduler, Atomthreads provides real time threading support and standard rtos features within a few small portable files.
