Bloodhound SSC recognised as champion of technology
The Bloodhound supersonic car project has won the British Institute of Technology & E-commerce (BITE)/Rolls Royce 'Championing of Technology' Award.
The award will be presented to project director, Richard Noble (pictured) at the World Hi-Tech Forum Gala dinner to be held at the Science Museum, London on 14 October 2010.
BITE director, Dr Muhammad Farmer said: "The development of the Bloodhound supersonic car, capable of reaching 1000mph, is a world class project which will inspire a new generation to tackle technologically advanced projects and set new records."
Richard Noble will also be giving a speech at the World Hi-Tech Forum 2010: Focus UAE at The Dorchester, London on 14 October: "21st Century Solution: Supercharged education for our industries."
