Bloodhound: “We want design engineers”
1 min read
The team behind the Bloodhound Project is calling on UK design engineers to help ensure that construction of the 1,000mph supersonic car is completed by December 2012.

The Bloodhound ssc, powered by a jet engine and rocket, is being built in a bid to break the FIA world land speed record. However, its developers warn that its rapid expansion from the research and design stage is necessitating a need for more engineers.
In a statement, Bloodhound said: "We are looking specifically looking for support in mechanical and composite design, stress analysis and detailing. This is a great opportunity to work on a rewarding project, to work with a group of talented people, to feel the satisfaction when you come up with a solution for a problem that's never existed before … and the view from the office overlooking Bristol Harbour is also pretty good too!"
Bloodhound states that this isn't an offer for an internship or a training programme, but an opportunity for design engineers with passion and enthusiasm to work on a unique project. If you would like to offer your services, email a cv and covering letter to engineering@bloodhoundssc.com.
