Conference addresses future of research
The European Commission Directorate General for research has announced registration details for the Research Connection 2009 conference in Prague.
Taking place on 7 and 8 May 2009, the conference will be opened by European Commissioner for research, Janez Potocnik.
As part of the 2009 European year of creativity and innovation, the convention will focus on the theme ‘networking our way to a research future’. Over 2000 EU scientists, policy makers and representatives of industry and research organisations will take part in the event.
The conference will also look to highlight the achievements made since the start of the EU Seventh Framework Programme for Research in 2007 and consider developments until 2013. It will specifically focus on research channels for new member states. A selection of 40 EU funded projects will be showcased and registration is available online.
