Interface technology specialist, andersDX has announced a custom design service designed to bring the look and feel of consumer products to industrial and medical touchscreen applications.
The FlushTouch service provides flat, bezel free designs that combine standard touch sensors with touch window or cover lens technologies, different materials and finishes and a variety of custom options.
It is available for touch sensor technologies compatible with display sizes from 2 to 22in. Glass or plastic front panels and touch borders are available, ranging from 1.6 to 20mm thick, while flexible membrane options are designed for applications where ease of cleaning are important.
Mike Logan, product manager for andersDX, said: "Touch has become fundamental to the user interface in industrial and medical designs and users are becoming increasingly demanding based on their experience of consumer products such as the iPad. FlushTouch front panel designs not only meet specific application and environmental requirements but provide the user with the same look, feel and experience they have come to expect from their consumer devices."
