Differential amplifier first to drive 1GHz data converter signals with 8bit linearity
Analog Devices has introduced what it claims to be the industry's first 5GHz differential amplifier able to drive ADC signals from DC to 1GHz at half the power of similar products.
The ADA4960-1 differential amplifier is designed for a variety of high speed ADCs with 10bit linearity to 500MHz and 8bit linearity up to 1GHz. It can drive a variety of ADCs and consumes 60mA of quiescent current when operating up to 1GHz.
The amplifier features a 8700 V/µs slew rate (AV = 6 dB, 2-V step) and wideband, low-distortion performance for frequencies up to and beyond 1 GHz, which make it effective for RF (radio frequency) and IF (immediate frequency) wired communications applications in industrial and instrumentation, defence electronics and aerospace designs.
The user accessible gain adjust and bandwidth extension features are designed to allow configuration of the ADA4960-1 for line driver and channel equalisation applications.
