DVB-T/H tuner saves power
Elonics believes it has developed the world’s lowest power DVB-T/H terrestrial broadcast rf tuner.
The E4000, which consumes as little as 13mW, features ultra low power silicon design techniques and is made on a 130nm cmos process.
Elonics ceo David Srodzinski said: “The E4000 represents a significant technological milestone, offering a substantial saving on power consumption … without sacrificing performance. This makes it ideal for the emerging worldwide digital tv market.”
The E4000, which has an rf input range from 64MHz to 1700MHz, can be reconfigured via software to support additional broadcast standards in the VHF, UHF and L bands.
The device also features DigitalTune, a patent pending rf architecture that allows each stage of the rf signal processing to be adjusted under digital control to provide optimum linearity or noise performance.
