The companies’ first project together saw them develop a fully digital 2D/3D washing machine GUI leveraging ADLINK’s I-PI SMARC IoT protoyping platform and Candara’s CGI Studio.
“Intuitive touch feedback of displays and devices is no longer a privilege of the automotive industry and we’re seeing the same in other industries too, such as industrial automation, medicine, entertainment and household appliances,” explained Henri Parmentier, Senior Product Manager at ADLINK. “With ADLINK’s 25+ years of experience in embedded computing, and Candera’s powerful design tool for embedded HMI, there is a perfect fit.”
In the their first project together, ADLINK’s I-Pi SMARC powers the washing machine’s GUI which was designed in Candara’s CGI Studio. The GUI includes 3D animations for start-up and washing programs, and 2D animations for the progress bar and time, in full HD resolution with multi-language support.
“We strive to deliver customers an off-the-shelf solution for creating rich and modern GUIs with CGI Studio. Combined with ADLINK’s I-Pi SMARC platform, customers have easy access to the GUI tool and quick results with CGI Studio. There is no coding required from design, to simulation, to target deployment. Just bring your design to life with a few clicks!” said Thomas Kauffmann, Sales and Business Development Manager for Candera.
CGI Studio is an intuitive, scalable and hardware independent HMI design for customisable embedded GUI solutions. The Studio supplies ready-to-use HMI controls and the Candera Smart Importer for instant combination of designs with logic in only a few clicks, resulting in pin-sharp graphic scenes for both 2D and 3D graphic elements and animations.
ADLINK’s I-Pi SMARC PX30 ready-to-go IoT prototyping platform based on the LEC-PX30 SMARC module combines production-grade components, software portability, and Raspberry Pi-like flexibility for proof-of-concept designs.
The modules are also available in industrial-grade SKUs with ETT and longevity of over 10 years.
