Emerson announces 25W power supplies for led lighting
1 min read
Emerson Network Power has announced a new series of power supplies for led lighting.
The 25W LDS25 family has an input range of 120 to 27Vac and can deliver up to 700mA at 36Vdc. Constant current and constant voltage output modes have been designed to accommodate different led application requirements.
Constant current mode operates from 36 down to 26V, while constant voltage mode operates with load currents from 300 to 700mA or to the programmed current limit level. This can be set by a single resistor to any value within this range. Alternatively, the output current can be user adjusted over its 0 to 700mA range by an IEC 60929 compliant dimming function, controlled by a standard 0 to 10V signal.
According to Emerson, active power factor correction enables the power supplies to achieve a power factor of at least 0.9 and they have a conversion efficiency of 86% typical. They are rated for operation over an ambient temperature range of -30 to 60°C or a case temperature range of minus -30 to 90°C, with no need for forced air cooling.
Targeted at a range of indoor applications, the LDS25 series is available in open frame and IP20 rated cased versions. It complies with the CISPR 15 requirement for EMI and all devices are protected against short circuit, overvoltage and overtemperature conditions. Hot wiring protection is also featured.
