Front end supply has power density of 15W/in3
Power-One has launched the LPM615, a 1500W front end ac/dc power supply family. The modular product can accommodate up to six output modules in order to provide customers with their exact voltage and current requirements.
Claimed to feature the lowest profile of products of its kind, the LPM615 is 40mm high. In addition, the LPM615 also features a power density of more than 15W/in3, which the developer says is 25% more than the best on the market today.
Each LPM615 output module is trimmable. Between them, the four modules offer continuous output coverage from 2V to 54V. This provides end users with flexibility, while allowing distributors to stock fewer parts in greater depth.
The LPM615 is suited to applications in industrial and scientific machines, where its screw threads and terminals support a 'fit and forget' approach.
