Haptics division spun out by HiWave
The haptics division of HiWave Technologies has been spun out and is launching today as Redux Labs.
The company will be led by HiWave's former ceo and cto, James Lewis and Chris Travis.
It has been spun out to advance Redux's Surface Sensation technology for third generation haptic and embedded audio technology.
The focus will be on delivering haptic/touch and audio transducers, electronic control modules and chipsets, evaluation platforms and bespoke system development for sectors including mobile, pc, tv, automotive and white goods.
Lewis commented: "Redux will focus on advancing and commercialising haptic and audio solutions, and to develop ground breaking technology that redefines the user experience in an increasingly touch display oriented world."
