The move is intended to help provide engineers with all the resources and tools required to develop new system designs more quickly and easily.
The partnership with TraceParts ensures designers can access 3D models of Harwin’s connectors, board-level EMC shielding and PCB hardware. Models are available in all current file formats for engineers to integrate directly into their CAD system and design, saving time and streamlining the development process.
TrustedParts gives engineers and specifiers access to aggregated price and availability data for genuine parts from only authorised/franchised distributors for electronic components sourcing. Over 6000 of Harwin’s fast-moving parts are listed in local languages and currencies of each of the key markets around the world.
Commenting Peter Schneid, VP of Marketing at Harwin, said of the partnerships with TraceParts and TrustedParts: “Harwin’s digital transformation is moving at a rapid pace. Although actual connector samples are important, 3D models of connectors are becoming increasingly significant as ‘digital samples’. Easy access to aggregated real-time price and availability data from authorised sources is equally important.”
Combined with Harwin’s extensive set of resources, including product specification sheets, test report summaries, product training information, and tooling instruction sheets, engineers will now have the necessary tools to ensure that they can correctly design with the company’s connectors.
