HP recalls 15,000 batteries
Hewlett Packard is recalling 15,000 laptop batteries because of a danger that they could overheat.
The batteries were distributed in China and used in HP Pavilion, Compaq Presario and HP Compaq models. According to the Chinese government, in extreme conditions they can overheat and pose a serious fire hazard. HP will be offering free battery replacements to any laptops manufactured between late 2007 and early 2008.
