Hyundai, Kia to adopt Intel Atom processor for in vehicle infotainment platforms
A collaboration to develop next generation in vehicle infotainment platforms based on the Intel Atom processor has been announced by Intel, Hyundai Motor Company, Kia Motors and C&S Technology.
According to Intel, the platforms will bring new services and content, such as location based applications, social networking capabilities and entertainment in future Hyundai and Kia vehicles. The car manufacturers plan to upgrade select IVI systems with the Intel Atom processor in a bid to add more intelligent capabilities.
