‘Industrial grade’ enterprise tool suite supports demanding applications
Configurable multicore microcontroller developer XMOS has launched xTIMEcomposer-Enterprise, which it says is the most advanced multicore microcontroller development suite yet launched.
Described as 'industrial grade', the tool suite delivers an integrated multicore development environment for users of xCORE products and the annual subscription is said to provide users with an upgrade path that integrates an ARM compiler and debugger development flow to support xCORE-XA products.
"The xTIMEcomposer-Enterprise tools provide the highest level of design productivity for demanding embedded system applications," said Nigel Toon, pictured, XMOS' ceo.
According to XMOS, xTIMEcomposer is said to provide all the tools needed to develop real time embedded applications for xCORE devices. Based on the Eclipse IDE, xTIMEcomposer includes: XMOS Timing Analyzer, which uses the determinism of the xCORE architecture to deliver verified time-critical solutions; xSCOPE, for real time code instrumentation and debugging; and xSOFTip Explorer, for browsing the XMOS library of soft peripherals and code blocks.
