Infineon targets space applications with first RH PowerMOS devices
Infineon has introduced its first power switching devices for use in space and avionics applications.
The Radiation Hardened (RH) PowerMOS devices in the BUY25CSXX family are optimised to support the design of energy efficient power conditioning and power supply systems and are said to offer best in class performance.
Infineon says its RH PowerMOS technology is hardened against total ionising dose and single event effects to create devices that meet the requirements of the European Space Agency. The devices are fully qualified according to the ESCC5000 standard.
Infineon claims it is the only European supplier for 250V RH PowerMOS devices that fulfils all ESA requirements.
