Intersil boosts power portfolio with new GUI
Intersil has launched the PowerNavigator, a graphical user interface (GUI) that allows users to design digital power into their systems without having to write code.
The free, downloadable tool, which allows users to select components prior to hardware development, provides access to all commands and setup configurations, including the ability to load predefined configurations for common applications.
Meanwhile, Intersil has added an integrated digital dc/dc power controller to its portfolio. The ZL8800 is a dual channel/dual phase controller that uses ChargeMode control loop technology to deliver fast transient response.
Each output can operate independently or in a dual phase configuration for high current applications. The device provides an output ranging from 0.54 to 5.5V and accepts inputs ranging from 4.5 to 14V.
