Kontron Q1 revenue surges
Kontron achieved a significant leap in revenue and earnings in the first quarter of 2011, with strong growth reported across all regions.
The embedded computer systems specialist saw revenue climb to €130million, up 33% from €97.7m in Q1 2010. First quarter net income also rose from €1.9m in the first quarter of 2010 to €5.2m. The company said the catastrophes in Japan had no notable effects on its business to date. "The markets have recovered and the measures that were introduced during the crisis have strengthened Kontron," said Kontron's ceo Ulrich Gehrmann.
Revenue of approximately €550m is anticipated for the full 2011 financial year.
