LeCroy introduces industry’s first 12bit oscilloscopes
LeCroy has introduced what it claims is the industry's first range of 12bit oscilloscopes. The WaveRunner devices are designed to achieve 55dB signal to noise ratio and according to the company, have the highest accuracy available in the market today.
Designed for medical, automotive, and electromechanical industries, the 400 and 600MHz oscilloscopes available in the series feature a 12bit ADC, deep memory of up to 256Mpts/ch with 64 Mpts/ch standard and dc accuracy specifications.
With higher resolution and greater measurement precision than 8bit alternatives, LeCroy claims the 12bit ADC architecture provides finer measurement accuracy and better waveform clarity. The 256 Mpts/ch deep memory capability permits long acquisitions to capture 30s of data sampled at 10MS/s, or shorter capture times with the highest resolution at 2GS/s.
The toolset includes a range of application packages, advanced triggering to isolate events, a user interface developed for quick and easy navigation, a range of probing options and ultra fast performance to validate designs, debug errors at board bring up and characterise an embedded system.
