Low noise timing chipset targets wireless base station radio cards
Looking to help system designers eliminate the undesired effects noise can cause in the rf signal chain, IDT has developed a low noise timing chipset for use in wireless base transceiver station radio cards.
The 8V19N4xx is a flexible, JESD204B compliant rf phase locked loop and clock synthesiser, designed to meet both the high frequency and low phase noise requirements for 2G, 3G and 4G LTE wireless infrastructure.
Leveraging IDT's FemtoClock NG technology, the low phase noise characteristics are said to enable the system's a/d and d/a converters to function with high precision and very low distortion levels.
This, according to the company, results in improved signal integrity on transmission and enhanced signal sensitivity on reception, increasing data throughput via lower bit error rates.
