National unveils new dvgas with ‘excellent’ high frequency linearity
National Semiconductor has introduced a pair of quad and dual channel, digital variable gain amplifiers (dvgas), designed to enable higher performance wideband radio systems.
The LMH6522 quad and LMH6521 dual devices are said to provide superior linearity performance over a wide frequency range. They are optimised for challenging multi channel wideband wireless systems.
Typical applications include intermediate frequency sampling receivers, I/Q digital pre distortion signal paths and wide bandwidth direct conversion radios used in multi carrier GSM, TD-SCDMA, W-CDMA and LTE wireless basestations.
The dvgas are optimised for driving a range of load impedances and feature a low Z output drive. National claims they deliver 'exceptional' signal fidelity and provide the additional power gain needed when driving low impedance filters.
