Roke Manor Research has announced the launch of a service designed to minimise redesign costs and accelerate product development time.
The Regulatory Compliance and Performance Optimisation Service has been created to allow developers of multimode products to choose from a range of design consultancy services and precompliance testing, through to a completion certification package. By making it scalable, Roke says that service is suitable for both integrated development assistance and inclusion within collaborative partnerships or design ecosystems.
Roke has partnered with product certification specialist Sulis Consultants to deliver the service by combining Roke's facilities and design knowledge with Sulis' certification background.
The test facilities available at Roke include a shielded emc anechoic chamber, with a working distance of 3m, and CTIA compliant anechoic chamber, both working up to 18GHz and suitable for tests including emc and rf. SAR and esd facilities are also available.
Stefan Jacobs, business sector manager at Roke, said: "The new Roke service offers practical support for multimode product developers wanting to achieve compliance cost effectively, while minimising time to market. With experience in the design, development and manufacture of multimode mobile products for both commercial and military customers, we are perfectly placed to offer both practical advice for achieving compliance and design assistance to ensure optimal product performance."
