Nujira scales production of LTE chips
Envelope tracking pioneer Nujira has extended its foundry agreement with TowerJazz to include production of the NCT-L1300, the latest in its Coolteq.L range of power supply modulator chips for LTE handsets.
Sampling now, the NCT-L1300 is geared up for volume production to support 4G smartphone shipments in 2014. Nujira says its 80% efficiency will allow smartphone vendors to achieve 50% system efficiency with LTE signals.

Nujira selected TowerJazz as its manufacturing partner in early 2012. The NCT-L1300 will be manufactured on its 0.18micron rf cmos technology and fitted with additional HV modules.
