Parallella computing platform now available from RS
RS Components will bring three models of the open source Parallela computing platform to the UK under a distribution agreement with Adapteva.
The open source single board computer includes the Epiphany III 16 core coprocessor alongside the Xilinx Zynq Z7000 SoC. The credit card sized device can be used as a development platform, embedded engine, teaching platform or research tool. Boards can be clustered to bring more power.
"Adapteva is changing the way that people do computing," claimed Adapteva founder Andrea Olofsson. "Parallella puts new capabilities in the hands of the novice and the expert. We are making parallel programming an everyday, low cost, accessible technology."
