PhD training given £84m investment boost
An £84.2million investment in postgraduate training has been announced by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC).

David Willetts, Minister for Universities and Science, said the funding would drive growth and help secure the UK's future as a leading science and engineering nation.
The investment is the largest ever round of funding made by the EPSRC and includes £10m for Doctoral Prizes and £1m for Vacation Bursaries.
Professor David Delpy, the orgnisation's chief executive, said: "The grants will enable students to work with world class research leaders, on innovative, excellent science and develop new technologies to tackle the many global challenges we face."
