Queen’s Awards 2012: Electrocomponents commended for international trade achievements
Electrocomponents has won the Queen's Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category. The distributor, which owns RS Components, was commended for its overseas earnings, growth and commercial success.
Over the last five years the company's international business has achieved average annual sales growth at around double the rate of average annual global GDP growth. Its international sales grew from £474.9 to £825.9million between March 2006 and March 2011 and now account for 70% of its total revenues.
