Ramtron signs up with IBM
FRAM developer Ramtron has signed a foundry services agreement with IBM.
Under the terms of the deal, Ramtron’s process technology will be installed in IBM’s Burlington facility. Ramtron already uses Fujitsu and TI as foundries.
“We look forward to increased manufacturing capacity through our relationship with IBM to help meet the growing demand for Ramtron’s products,” said Ramtron’s coo Bob Djokovich. “We have high confidence in IBM and believe the addition of their process development and foundry services will help Ramtron serve the future needs of fram customers around the world.”
Ramtron expects to generate first production wafers during 2010 on IBM’s 0.18µm process.
