Regulators offer ‘best in class’ conversion efficiency
Analog Devices has released two new dc/dc regulators which it claims offer a best in class conversion efficiency of greater than 95%.
The ADP2384/86 feature an input voltage range of 4.5 to 20V and an output range of 0.6 to 18V with 1% voltage accuracy. Accurate current limit protection enables the use of smaller inductors to minimise board space, while a precision enable input and a power good output allow a simple and reliable start up sequence.
ADI says the switching frequency can be synchronised to an external clock to eliminate beat frequencies between regulators. The devices operate over a -40 to 125°C junction temperature range and are available in compact 4 × 4mm 24 lead LFCSP packages.
