Renesas lowers pin count of RL78 mcus
Renesas has introduced low pin count versions of its RL78/G1x series of microcontrollers.
The RL78/G10 devices offer ultra low power consumption ((46 uA/MHz – 20MHz basic operation) and feature on chip flash memory capacities from 1 to 4KB in 10 and 16pin SSOP packages.
Designed for use in small consumer appliances, Renesas says the mcus reduce operating current by about 30% compared with its existing RL78/G13 group.
An integrated, high speed on chip oscillator is included as standard, eliminating the need for an external oscillator.
