Samsung selects RFMD's PowerSmart for Galaxy Note II
RF Micro Devices (RFMD) has announced that its PowerSmart platforms have been chosen by Samsung to power the next generation of the Galaxy Note.
PowerSmart is said to be the industry's first and only converged series of multimode, multiband power amplifiers.
"With the ramp of the Galaxy Note II, RFMD extends our coverage of Samsung's product portfolio to include all tiers and segments," said RFMD president and ceo Bob Bruggeworth. "In the coming months, we look forward to the availability of additional devices and baseband architectures that expand our business with Samsung to include additional PAs, incremental switch based content and new high performance WiFi front ends."
