Rutronik and STMicroelectronics are expanding their long standing franchise contract to the UK, Ireland, Scandinavia and the Baltic states.

The two companies have been in collaboration since Rutronik was founded in 1973. Most recently, the partnership covered Central Europe. However, as Wolfgang Sayer (pictured), ST line manager at Rutronik, explained, the expansion would allow the two companies to tap into new markets and strengthen pan European sales networks. "Thanks to its broad product range," he said, "STMicroelectronics provides a perfect complement to our product portfolio. In the many years of cooperation ST has proved to be a reliable partner. In the next few years we want to further increase our activities in the field of design in in cooperation with ST and to increase growth together." Loïc Toubin, key account manager at STMicroelectronics added: "The long and successful cooperation made the expansion of the franchise contract with Rutronik into an important component of our growth strategy in Europe. The main factor that we appreciate about Rutronik is the local support for customers by experienced sales and application teams with very good product and market knowledge as well as the outstanding delivery performance from customised warehousing."
