ST boosts memory in STM32 range
STMicroelectronics is expanding its STM32 family of micrcontrollers to provide up to 512kbyte of on chip flash, larger sram and extra features for displays, sound, storage and advanced control.
ST has added 28 devices to the range, which is based on ARM's 32bit Cortex-M3 cpu. Included are devices in 36pin packages for low end applications and 144pin packages for more complex designs.
The latest mcus provide 256, 384 or 512kbyte of embedded flash, whilst the amount of sram has been increased, to 64kbyte for the 72MHz variants and to 48kbyte for 36MHz Access Line devices.
Devices in the STM32 family are available in LQFP64, LQFP/BGA100 and LQFP144/BGA144 packages. Parts with 32kbyte or 64kbyte of flash can be supplied in a 6 x 6mm QFN36.
