ST Electronics wins key contract for passenger information system
ST Electronics has won a contract worth S$4.6million from Changchun Railway Vehicles.
The company's engineering electronics arm will deliver passenger information systems for the Rio De Janeiro metro vehicles in Brazil.
Under the contract, ST Electronics will design, manufacture and commission the systems. These systems, provide features such as real-time audio and multimedia information and will be installed in 30 trains, with 120 cars.
Work on the project will start immediately and is expected to be completed by mid next year.
