TDK-Lambda invests in UK power plant
TDK-Lambda is investing heavily in new production equipment at its power supply manufacturing facility in Ilfracombe.
Driven by the company's new power products development strategy, the uprage is expected to result in substantial annual cost savings for the firm.
"We have an aggressive new products development strategy and are continuing to invest in new equipment to increase our capacity and enhance our processes, which will further improve our lead times and overall product reliability," said Martin Southam, director of marketing at TDK-Lambda EMEA.
As well as new test equipment, the company plans to introduce dispensed glue and automated optical paste inspection on its pcb assembly lines, eliminating the additional costs associated with touch up and rework.
