TI claims fastest 14bit a/d converter
Texas Instruments has launched what it says is the industry's fastest four channel, 14bit a/d converter.
Clocking in at 250MS/s, the high density ADS4449 enables receiver systems to support up to 125MHz of instantaneous bandwidth.
According to TI, it enables system designers to maintain small form factors and increase dynamic performance and signal bandwidth, while reducing power consumption and cost.
The ADS4449 uses only 365mW per channel and is designed to deliver a signal to noise ratio of 69dB. Available in a 10 x 10mm package, TI says it is 38% smaller than dual channel a/d converters currently on the market.
