TI unveils ‘smallest’ digital isolation devices
Available in a tiny 5 x 6mm QSOP package, Texas Instruments' new family of digital isolation devices is designed to offer an ultra high isolation rating of 2.5kVrms.
TI says the devices are 50% smaller than traditional SOIC isolation devices and provide an isolation rating 2.5 times better than competing solutions in the same package.
The ISO71xx family includes six triple and quad devices based on integrated silicon dioxide capacitors. The modules provide both resistance to electromagnetic interference (EMI) and lower EMI radiance to provide increased reliability in harsh environments.
To further enhance performance, they also incorporate a glitch filter to smooth operation at lower frequencies.
