Toshiba adds another two Cortex-M3 based mcus
Toshiba Electronics Europe has expanded its microcontroller portfolio with the addition of the TMPM36BF10FG. The Cortex-M3 based device features 258kbyte of sram and 1Mbyte of rom.
Said to be suitable for controlling complex systems that involve large software and data sets, the device is expected to find application in such areas as energy management systems, motor control, communication devices and general industrial equipment.
Featuring an optimised circuit design, the mcu is said to consume 33% less power than equivalent products. The device is pin compatible with TMPM36BFYFG, which will have 256kbyte of flash and 66kbyte of sram. The BF10G is scheduled to enter volume production in September 2013, with the 36BFYFG following in November 2013.
